My name is Gary Slocombe and I am a textile designer

and a paper cutting artist.

​

I live in a small village in south Buckinghamshire

situated in the Chiltern Hills surrounded by lots of

lovely countryside.

​

Having studied Textile Design and Surface Decoration while at Bucks New  University (as it is called today!) I specialised in printmaking and the use of mixed media which led me to a love of using paper

to create beautifully intricate papercuts. 

​

Inspired by my love of nature and the world in which

we live many local scenes, trees and florals are

depicted in my papercut designs.

​

My work is all handmade, hand drawn and hand cut

by me using a pencil and a very sharp scalpel knife.
